FATAL HIT-AND-RUN IN STANTON UNDER INVESTIGATION

Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run in Stanton Thursday evening.

The Orange County Fire Authority said a body was found around 6:50 p.m. on Cerritos Avenue just east of Dale Avenue in Stanton, an apparent victim of a hit-and-run.

The victim, described as a man in his 50s, was declared dead at the scene.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
