Plans to grow into a comprehensive MMA league that includes professionals
WASHINGTON, DC, June 06, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Following the Winnerz Fighting Championship (WFC) competition held last year under the name of ‘Woljang’, the blockchain sports platform Winnerz announced that it will now officially launch the Winnerz Fighting Championship (WFC) as a regular MMA league. The WFC1 competition will be held on June 15 (Sat) at the WFC Cage at the Winnerz Sports Center in Gangnam, Seoul, and will be broadcasted on Winnerz official YouTube channel.
WFC1, the first official MMA competition of Winnerz, will offer amateur fighters a chance to fulfill their dreams and be set on stage to showcase their skills and passion. Finalizing matches will be held in real time after submission, with two sessions taking place from May 20 to June 9.
A Winnerz official said, “The WFC1 tournament will provide amateur fighters with an opportunity to compete in the best circumstances. A cage at a state-of-the-art facility inside the Winnerz Sports Center in Gangnam, Seoul was designed to allow fighters to perform at their best.”
Winnerz vision is to go beyond just a sports platform and contribute to society. Starting with the WFC1 competition, the company is also planning a professional MMA competition and special matches to raise funds for community service in the near future. The competition aims to provide more opportunities to match for fighters and exciting matches for fans, and to maximize the positive impact of sports and contribute to the public interest through social donations and player sponsorship activities, it said.
In addition, Winnerz is also introducing an innovative sponsorship voting system using blockchain technology. Fans can directly sponsor sports players through blockchain-based voting, and sponsorship details are transparently disclosed. This increases the transparency and reliability of the sponsorship culture, while providing stable support to the sports players.
“We will continue to carry out various activities that contribute to society while giving hope and inspiration to people through sports, and we are bringing innovation to create a fair and transparent culture of sponsorship for sports players through blockchain technology. We ask for your interest and support in this WFC1 competition.” Winnerz said.
