NEWARK, DE, October 25, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — For the fourth consecutive year, United Medical Accountable Care Organization (UMACO) has achieved over $20 million dollars in savings between Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.

Regarding the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), UMACO recorded a 11.87% savings rate, as one of the top-17 performing ACOs in the country and will receive over $4 million in shared savings as a result.
UMACO is a Delaware based, multispecialty Medicare Shared Savings Program Accountable Care Organization (ACO), providing beneficiaries with access to high-quality, coordinated care across the state. Established in 2005, UMACO has been a stronghold in sustaining independent providers as the backbone of healthcare in Delaware. By aggregating resources within a single physician-led entity, UMACO enables Delaware’s private practices to enjoy economies of scale and to remain in family practice, at a time of growing physician shortage. This, in turn, ensures affordability of care by keeping the primary place of service outside of the more expensive hospital setting.
